Overview
The designer and consultant faced the challenge of finding artwork for the client that could NOT hang from the walls. The first room designated was the client’s great room with a fireplace. The fireplace wall had beautiful stone work that the artwork was to compliment. The other room was the screening room with acoustical padded walls. Each space was 55 x 55 x 6″
Goals
Because we couldn't hang off of the walls, commissioned work was a must for the client. The designer and consultant sent me many images of the spaces, allowing me to play off of colors and textures in the client's surroundings. The end result was a beautiful integration of art and design off the walls.
Process
The designer and consultant were very forth giving with images of the client's home interiors. The client also had some preferences regarding colors and textures, pointing focus on other art objects in the rooms for me to reference. The consultant and I have worked on many commissions over the years, so having her input was extremely helpful, as she knows the scope of my work and what I can create.
