Materials: concrete and metal
Date: 2019
Location: Jeffersonville, Indiana
Goals
Where They Dwell is inspired by the Aesop Fable, The Lion and The Oxen. The sculpture is meant to remind all those that visit that we are stronger as a society when we work together.
Process
Where They Dwell is sculpted concrete on a steel frame. The sculpture was built in three sections at the nearby NoCo Community Art center with the help of community members. Once completed, the sections were put in place with a crane, bolted together and the seams were filled and sculpted. The sculpture was stained and sealed on location.
