Overview

“Walking Through” represent a giant man walking into the narrow lanes of TAIKOO LI.
In my artistic research, I’m always fascinated by the relationship in between the Sculpture and the Architecture.

Goals

As the image of the whole TAIKOO LI development concept, the integration of traditional patrimonies in the contemporary world, I’ve created our giant man inspiring me from the grid of the antic street around the Temple and the traditional Chinese wood window frames.
Designed out of this grid and made out of stainless steel, the Walking Man becomes the map itself and a window to the city.
And just as the image of a more human city, in an interesting kinetic effect, the sculpture penetrate and is penetrated by the Architecture and its surrounding.
