Overview

Vitality is a conceived way-finding interior design system with artwork (corridors vct flooring, lobby mural, 12 lighting murals, signing and lighting, 11 silkscreen artwork images in corridors and patient rooms) including in different colors and symbols on 4 floors and 2 ER’s with The Florida Everglades themes and colors. The first floor and ER artworks symbolize the grass of the Everglades and green color, the second floor one symbolizes the water of the Everglades and blue color, and the third floor artwork symbolizes the flower of the Everglades in yellow hues. Goals

The goals are intended to communicate, and are incorporated to allow a spectrum of vital and healing effects on each person that interacts in the space. From the graphic and color, it is obtained different data of location, mood, motivation, harmony, which are tools created by the artist to create a proper environment for a pleasant stay in the hospital. This project was also intended through the energy that produces its graphic nature that creates a healing scenario to live in the chosen vivid colors and motives of the flora and its designed elements are part of a visual strategy to dynamically guide the visitor in a vital environment.

Process

This is a Miami-Dade Art In Public Places art collection organized by the Department of Cultural Affairs through Art In Public Places Program. The artist worked with the Miami-Dade Cultural Affairs Department in collaboration with the architects, installation vendors, and others to make this a beautiful project.
