Overview
The sculpture expresses various concepts of evolution and progression towards knowledge during school learning; gradually, step by step. This composition in layers accentuates these notions while evoking collaboration, collective effort, cohabitation and union, because once assembled the layers form a whole, a whole. This idea of community is also found in external intervention. That is to say, each stratum seems to have merged, to have united with each other. Forming an abstract set of lines, this mishmash, this layout recalls the educational path of the child within his school. It symbolizes his path to knowledge…
Goals
The work had to be designed in two parts and be discovered in two stages. It was made for a school (5-11 years old)
