Overview
Five foot ceramic “Wheel of Hope” depicting various colors of cancer ribbons in atrium of new facility. 17 Cancer ribbons engraved with specific cancer/ color on long wall.
Goals
The goal was to utilize the different cancer ribbon colors together in one large sculpture to attach to the stone wall. The piece was to be informative and inclusive through recognition of color and shape. The hallway with the 17 ribbons was to be informative of cancer type with color.
Process
I worked with the art consultant on the concept and made designs for the clients approval. Produced ceramic color samples for the designers and consulted with installer on fabrication design. Worked with metal fabricator for armature for ceramic units and wall attachment.
