Overview
Blue ribbons of powder coated steel seem to go in and out of the ground like water pouring down a stream or like thoughts that run in and out of our minds.
Goals
These ten blue lines create a different experience in each location whether it be an open field or surrounded by plantings in an urban setting.
Process
Each location requires the artist to collaborate with the manager of the site. The first location was in South Charleston, SC on a large open hillside, then it was temporarily installed in front of a The Organization of American States building in Washington, DC, then in the courtyard of the Workhouse Arts Center in Lorton VA, then in the courtyard of the Arts Center in Portsmouth, VA. The sculpture will be permanently installed in Orange, VA on a 250 acre farm in Oct. 2015.
