Overview
This is around 250 feet long it is the back side of three garages and two retaining walls . The tallest point is 25 ft . The client wanted one big mural connecting the three garages . A waterfall, lots of flowers, and pops of color. The sun hits directly onto the buildings so it was important that I put a Weather proof UV top coat Matt finish on top of the mural as well as a good primer under which I used a oil water hybrid primer .
Goals
The goals were to incorporate the big faux rock covering the propane tank. Also that the top mural flow into the other two. You can see that the retaining wall the tree tops are cut off so that when you see it from any hight or angle the mural behind retaining wall meet those tops of trees . The goal was accomplished the top mural has a soft sunset where the sun naturally sets. Yet the two others have big wide sky’s that go on forever this is so the viewer feel they are part of the mural, drawing them closer .
Process
The water fall had to come from somewhere and the natural landscape of the yard slopes down so I used that to my advantage. The sun hits directly on water fall so I placed large silver glitter on the splashes of water that would naturally have a spark . Giving the mural of movement as the sun moves along with artificial lighting
