Overview
Solo Exhibition at the Saarland Museum, Saarbrücken, Germany. Installation view including yarn installation piece, “Spacemanship”, and four marble popcorn sculptures.
To mark the reopening of the modern gallery, Pae White realized a spectacular exhibition: the largest manifestation of her art in Europe at that date, which was specially designed for the occasion. in doing so, the artist explores the possibilities offered by the generously proportioned extension of the museum in a surprising way.
The high, cathedral-like room is transformed into a huge vessel of pulsating shapes and colors. the peculiar magic of white’s work, which combines traditional and artistic craftsmanship with unusual materials, has seldom been so vividly experienced.
The exhibition “pae white – spacemanship” is funded by the peter and luise hager foundation.
