Overview
The Sand Agora is an introspective space for the infinite landscape located at the end of the world, the Pampa. It is inspired by “El libro de arena” by Jorge Luis Borges. Made of sand and land, a portal is created, a world of its own that begins as architecture and then the wind next to the water erodes, deforms and de-sculpts it until leaving it on the horizon.
The intention is to blur the boundaries between architecture and sculpture.
Measuring 24m x 18m, it is a contemporary ruin, a great castle of sand, where the protagonist is time. It begins as a solid object that slowly crumbles into an ephemeral landscape flat object.
Goals
The intention is to blur the boundaries between architecture and sculpture.
