Overview
The goal of this project was to bring light and color to this large retail store. The scale of the pieces and their placement throughout the store was most important. I had at least 10 works of art in a variety of areas in this Saks store in Austin TX for 10 years.
Process
I worked very closely with the store manager on every aspect of this installation. She knew her clientele and the environment very well, and she was instrumental in selecting work and helping me create work that would compliment the racks of clothing, as well as the layout of each individual room, and bring a brightness to the overall environment. She was a wonderful collaborator.
