Overview
15ft metal abstract wall sculpture powder coated and mounted on interior clinic wall.
Goals
The sculpture was installed in the Lackland Air Force Base primary troop clinic serving brand new Airmen, so It was important to depict a powerful image of air power.
Process
Once the final design was ok'd by the 59 Medical Wing POC, ten separate pieces were cut out from ll gauge mild steel, then the three main parts were welded together. All pieces were then sandblasted and then powder coated. Each piece had multiple 6 inch threaded rods welded to the back side that fit into corresponding epoxy filled holes drilled into the clinics limestone veneer wall.
