Overview
Commissioned to celebrate 50 years of statehood, this 20'x40' acrylic on aluminum piece depicts 4 key figures, in images from every community and every participant in the Constitutional Convention.
Goals
The site is incongrous with the theme but it suited the committee's objectives in spades.
Process
There was much consultation with historians to decide on the 4 figures to depict. Selecting individual images was arduous, researching images from every community in the state. The greatest collaboration was with the construction company foreman in the design and application of the steel mounting beams and the installation of the 32 individual 5' panels of 1/4" aluminum plate.
