Overview
A 9-piece, 9-story commission for a Howard Hughes Corporation’s Class A commercial building in Summerlin outside of Las Vegas, NV. A custom artwork was commissioned for each floor’s lobby. The 1st Floor lobby was a unique piece sized at 10′ x 14′. The medium was a dye-sublimation on a polyester fabric, fitted over a metal frame that was engineered to arrive in pieces and fit the niche to perfection. The piece is back lighted with LED lights. For the other 8 floors an original artwork was commissioned and sized at 7′ x 13′ each. The medium is an Archival Pigment Print on metallic photo paper face mounted to Acrylic.
Goals
The client went through an extensive interview process to find an artist that had a cohesive body of artwork where there would be a connection throughout the building, but each floor would feel unique.
