Overview

Fused glass and metal wall sculpture. Artwork measures overall 9 feet wide by 2 feet high.

Goals

This artwork was being installed over the fireplace and donor information in the Cancer Center. The colors needed to blend with the furnishings and aesthetic of the newly remodeled space.

Process

The architect contacted me to create an artwork for the Cancer Center, above the fireplace and incorporating the donor information. She indicated they wanted a nature theme, and I submitted a couple of sketches for approval by all the stakeholders, including the donor. Once the design was chosen, we then met to choose the color scheme. Images were sent to the client during the process, showing the progress of the artwork. A final image was sent for approval before the installation was completed.
