Overview
94″w x 65″h x 4″d, mulberry paper, acrylic, pyrite, glass, mirror and sand on canvas
Goals
The goal of the artwork was to blend into the theme of the design of the house; old Hollywood glamour meets modern materials. I used shiny materials to add a bit of glamour and kept the palette earthy to reflect the hills and canyons around Los Angeles.
Process
I worked with the client and her interior designer. Both came and visited my studio. They provided photos of the space and then I presented conceptual sketches that showed composition and color.
