When traveling to Paris, you are immersed in the beauty and culture of art. Each street, store, and landmark is detailed with immaculate paintings, sculptures, glass, and all forms of art. The LDS Paris Temple is no exception to the rule. It is a massive installation with hundreds of hand-crafted stained glass windows in an art nouveau style. This skylight shows the style of the project. With hundreds of lilies hand painted on the glass and blown-glass jewels truly encompasses the beauty and history of the Paris area.

Tom Holdman based the overall theme and design of the Paris Temple art glass off the King James bible scripture, Luke 12:27, "Consider the lilies how they grow: they toil not, they spin not; and yet I say unto you, that Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these." The scripture conveys a message of love and respect for the individuality that is in all of us. Yet together we are all connected and are profound and beautiful. He then coupled the theme with the international design style of art nouveau, as it was inspired by natural forms and structures, particularly of plants and flowers. The end result is truly breathtaking as the art glass adds accents of peace and beauty.

Holdman Studios is known for its customer care and service. The teams work very hard to integrate the interior designers, color pallets, and engineering specs to make sure each window was properly built. The french specs were especially challenging to meet at times. Holdman Studios has a second shop located in Ensenada Mexico. The talented team of artists located in our southern shop, beautifully hand-painted hundreds of lilies. The Holdman Studios located in Lehi, Utah worked tirelessly to build the dozens of windows and shipped them over to France where we worked to install them. It was exciting to see both studios work so closely on this project to create an amazing finished work of art.
