Commissioned by: the County of Los Angeles.
The goals for integrating commissioned artwork into this project was to create sculptures that reflect the natural and community history of the lake and park, as well as to create an artwork that has a philosophic and poetic essence concerning nature and its cycles.
I collaborated with engineers, architects and a water features specialist, as well as community leaders and neighbors of the site.
The intention for this project was to create a sculpture that would speak to the community regardless of demographic changes that might occur in the future.
