Client: Jordan Landing Shopping Center

Overview

The two murals for Jordan Landing were created to celebrate the beautiful Plaza area where people gather near restaurants, the movie theater, and where outdoor concerts and events take place. The elements in the art creatively convey an uplifting feeling of enjoyment, shared community, and a feeling of connectedness to each other and to Jordan Landing. The murals offer a colorful and memorable experience featuring the highlights of The Plaza.

Goals

The goal for this project was to beautify the blank walls with two unique murals near the Plaza area which is an adult and family friendly outdoor “living room” space with tables for dining, seating areas, water features, fire places, and where live performances and events take place. One mural was to creatively convey themes of entertainment, performances, and the movie theatres, while the other mural was to focus on dining and restaurants.

Process

Traci was contacted by Jordan Landing’s Marketing Director and they then met with both owners to further discuss the criteria for the two murals. A budget was determined, retainer accepted, and Traci began the conceptual work. A black and white sketch of the design direction for each mural was presented. After approval of the sketches, a color presentation for each mural design was reviewed and approved. Traci and her team painted each mural on site where passersby enjoyed watching the progress of the murals as they came to fruition. “Restaurant Dining” consists of a 13 x 20 ft mural while “Entertainment” is 10 x 15ft.
