Overview
Client has a steep banked backyard landscape with a generous observation deck. She wanted a permanent installation and focal point.
Goals
Color was really important. The client wanted me to match the color of the new piece with a couple other pieces of Asian art already installed that had a blue/green patina. She also wanted to create art to fill a space that would cause you to look up to see other plantings higher on the hill.
Process
I met once with the client to figure out the composition and color of each piece as well as the placement to create a pleasing composition. I returned to install the finished pieces on the back landscaped bank
Additional Information
I'm really excited when I have the opportunity to work with clients that are ok with creating an interesting composition, and when they are willing to take time and check out several possibilities of design.
