Overview
The project consists of placing original art in the 105 rooms of the new Hyatt South Beach in Miami. For the King Bed rooms, we proposed work that was 2' x 8' above the beds. For the Queen Bed rooms we proposed two 2' x 6' images. All of the images were directly printed onto metal for aesthetics and durability. For the lobby, we included a 5' x 7' light box and a 5' round piece.
Goals
The work in the rooms had to be very peaceful and calming. The color palate had to work well with neutral and grey tones. The light box and round lobby piece could have more of a punch to them.
Process
Dina Mitrani, Art Consultant worked very closely with Kobi Karp Architecture and Design to find work that was a good fit for their vision of the hotel.
