Overview

“Harmony Chime” offers a peaceful sanctuary, encouraging contemplation, reflection and serenity. A 14-foot-tall stainless steel chime anchors this sculpture, along with smaller chimes that create a beautiful, soothing sound in the cool breeze of the healing garden. The butterfly screen that surrounds the chime is hand-painted to match the chime. The blue pieces of acrylic inside the wings of the butterfly, reflect a vibrant cobalt blue on to the ground, adding another dimension to this piece.

Goals

I wanted to evoke feelings of reflection, serenity and peace. This sculpture is meant to encourage socialization between residents while enjoying the outdoors.
It was important to me to bring together residents, visitors, and staff in a quiet, peaceful environment and provide a favorite place for residents to visit on a daily basis.
