Goals
The Giant Fishboy sculpture was finished and installed for an artistic miniature golf course at the Tennessee First Baseball Stadium, home of the Nashville Sounds.
The Fishboy character comes from The Perils of Fishboy, by Cory Basil. Cory and I originally created the Giant Fishboy as a temporary sculpture for Cory's large-scale, immersive art exhibition at OZ Arts in Nashville.
Process
The Giant Fishboy was originally sculpted in foam with a wood frame in 3 days for an art exhibit. He was later updated for public outdoor installation by replacing the wood frame with a steel tube frame, sealing with fiberglass and epoxy and bolting into place on a concrete footers.
Additional Information
Fishboy was created by artist, Cory Basil. Cory employed by help to transform his illustrated character into a large-scale public art sculpture.
