Overview
Experimental playground designed for the Foundation for the Junior Blind in Los Angeles.
Goals
Designed as an experimental tool to enhance the interaction and play between staff and handicapped students at the school. it incorporates a number of new technologies designed to assist the blind and handicapped, like a climbing wall with sound emitting handholds, a wheelchair accessible play stream, a touch wall with thin film of water etc..
Process
The Foundation were fabulous, they gave us a very free hand to come up with a innovative design with the goal of creating a safe, stimulating environment to encourage play and interaction with the students.
