Overview
The newly-elected Mayor of Baton Rouge commissioned an art installation at her office. The Arts Council of Greater Baton Rouge curated the collection. Two-dimensional works from Louisiana artists were eligible for inclusion. Only a handful of artists were selected. The work will remain at the Mayor's office through December 2018.
Goals
The Arts Council of Greater Baton Rouge worked with the Mayor's office to determine goals for this installation. Artists were asked to submit work that was created in Louisiana.
Process
I submitted five digital photographs for consideration in response to the Call to Artists. The Arts Council collaborated with the Mayor's office to select work for the installation. The selected works are very diverse, and the successfully reflect the many creative styles found throughout Louisiana.
