Overview
This curved mirror stainless steel facade named Invisible Realm, it made of 316L stainless steel and surface mirror polishing. The total dimension is 24 meters wide, 7.5 meters high.
It is based on a great design of a famous Chinese artist, JingYumin, and installed in Qingdao Lan Wan Art Park, Shandong in 2014.
Goals
The curved mirror stainless steel facade was completed in 2014 after 3-month fabrication. It is based on a great design of a famous Chinese artist who has deep acknowledge and research in ancient and modern cultures, seeking a compatible field between. Thus stainless steel plays a good medium that presents the idea due to its multiple possibilities. The two kinds of surface treatments, mirror polish and electroplate, make the visual figure more extensive. And the seams of longitude and latitude are deliberately left corresponding to the design. It seems the endless realm was sectioned a piece of 24 meters (82ft) wide and 7.5 meters (20ft) high.

Additional Information
As an audience, we can get various interpretations from the work, the collision between tradition and modernity, the interweaving of local and global, the convergence of the East and the West, the mixing of history, present, and future, and a kind of isolated cultural nostalgia. It forms a kind of changeable and flowing mirror game of "seeing" and "being seen" each other. Once unveiled, it has appealed to continuously increasing the number of people there.
