Overview

This project was initiated by a lighting designer from North Carolina. She was assigned the responsibility of providing lighting for the new Cooper University Healing Garden.

Goals

The goals of the project were to create a magical ambiance to the new healing garden by providing large 13" NightOrbs which are Handblown landscape lighting illuminators which provide color to the garden at night and day. These Orbs are illuminated utilizing 50 Watt Xylogen lamps which are powered by low voltage.

Process

The collaboration between NightOrbs (Tom Rupnicki) and the lighting designer discussed the durability of the orbs and whether they would survive Summer heat, Winter cold, Freezing and impact durability. In addition the color that the orbs project are calming and have healing qualities..

Additional Information

The project went very smoothly and the Hospital was extremely happy with the results.
