Client: Club Quarters Hotel

Overview

Each work was painted, framed, shipped, delivered and installed by Matthew Thomas Art. I had less than a month to complete and deliver the artwork. There were renovations happening during installation so I wanted to oversee the handling of the work. The total space estimated 2k sq. ft. The hotel, firm and project lead were pleased with my creativity, willingness to collaborate, flexibility and professionalism throughout the renovation process.

Goals

I worked closely with the project manager, interior designer and construction team during the renovation period. We had a very limited time frame/budget to create, frame, ship, deliver and hang the artwork. To reduce expenses, I drove the works directly from my studio in Tennessee to Houston on two separate occasions. This saved on shipping costs, delivery and package construction.

Process

Everyone honored the deadlines, delivery dates and installation period so things ran smoothly and consistent with the plans of the project coordinator. To make sure all works were in line with the interior lobby, color samples and fabrics were sent via email as reference points. In response, I would send daily studio changes of my work for approval.
