Client: ChildSafe

Overview

Incorporating visually inspiring placemaking elements throughout various locations of the ChildSafe campus was critical to creating a welcoming and comforting environment for child victims of abuse and their supportive family members. A system of origami-like symbols were created and arranged to make compelling patterns for colorful murals throughout the interior as well as sculptural steel elements on the campus grounds.

Project Mission: The ChildSafe facility will be a beacon of hope that will support total care and restoration
for our county’s abused children.

Process

I was welcomed during the design phase of the building and campus to collaborate with the client, project architects, and interior design team in a complementary way. As a team we coordinated selections of ideal locations to create placemaking experiences and opportunities.
