Jun’s discerning visual vocabulary seamlessly navigates many mediums including ceramics, bronze and glass. These distinctive artworks appear in numerous solo and group exhibitions annually and are prominently included in more than seventy museum collections around the world. Kaneko’s curiosity about art and civic interaction inspired him to realize over sixty public art commissions since 1982. His ventures in opera began in 2003 with Madama Butterfly and grew to embrace Fidelio and the Magic Flute all of which continue to tour. He created work at the Fabric Workshop, the EKWC, Mission Clay, Shigaraki Ceramic Center, Bullseye Glass and Derix Glasstudios.
