Our mission is to serve as a leader in defining art in the public realm through creative place-making, signature cultural events, exhibitions, and installations — contributing to the community’s creative, cultural, and economic vitality. Scottsdale Public Art has commissioned permanent artworks as well as temporary installations through innovative programs such as IN FLUX, platFORM, and the Civic Center Public Gallery. Scottsdale Public Art also presents Canal Convergence | Water + Art + Light, a free 10-day public art event featuring light-based artworks created by local, national, and international artists, augmented reality artworks and experiences, artist talks, tours, performances, and workshops at the Scottsdale Waterfront annually in November. Scottsdale Public Art and Canal Convergence have won multiple local, regional, and national awards.
