Bill FitzGibbons operates a large studio in San Antonio, Texas and is best known for his light based projects as well as his environmental artworks. Bill has received over thirty public art commissions in five countries and has received several honors for his public art projects. In 1991 he was a Fulbright Scholar at the Art Academy in Budapest, Hungary, in 2012 he was selected as the Texas State Artist in sculpture, and "Light Channels" received several awards for best public art in San Antonio. He has also served on the Board of the International Sculpture Center.
