Overview

Suspended in the building’s lobby, Waterfall extends 60 feet, running diagonally from a height of 26 feet above the floor and ending at 10 feet at the entry and is made of acrylic and stainless steel aircraft cables. Positioned in a sequence that evokes the pattern of ocean waves, the sculpture consists of 12 layers of half-inch-thick clear acrylic. The artist was inspired by water, which is a central feature of the Sanitation District’s work and by the light filled atrium lobby.
