Overview
To make site appropriate ceramics to compliment the eclectic taste reflected in this room
Goals
The goal was to create an anchor/focal point of simple line and form providing a tactile contrast between hard and soft furnishings
The interior designer felt it was very important to combine the earthiness of function into this sophisticated setting.
Process
he collaboration was between the interior designer and the ceramic artist. Both had a knowledge of each others work and a deep understanding of what each party could contribute to the collaboration.
The designer visited the studio of the ceramic artist and liking a selection of glazes and finishes not previously used in combination, commissioned a number of pieces.
