Overview
“The Tunnel” is entrance to the Florida Atlantic University in Fort Lauderdale, a pedestrian passageway connecting the campus to the city’s parking garage.
The composition was executed on walls and ceilings under the existing ramps by adding transparent layers of red, yellow and blue varnish. Layer-by-layer an inseparable architectural color-space construction was orchestrated on site in a painterly process merging our physical space with the color-space.
Goals
Revitalisation of a space in the public garage.
Process
Preparation of the location was provided by the facility management of the City, Department of Transportation.
