Overview

This installation is comprised of 63 paintings of skies in acrylic paint on polypropylene paper for a total size of 19 x 17 feet. It was made for the Sechrest Gallery of Art at High Point University in North Carolina.
In an increasingly digital world, it is vital to go outside. My hope is that my artwork will give people the opportunity to dream and to experience joy, and ultimately to inspire them to return to the outdoors and build meaningful connections with others there.

Goals

This project needed to complement a suspended installation and to be evocative of outdoor spaces. Skies were chosen to be uplifting and to create a sense of air and space.
