Overview
Wall hanging neon Kinetic sculpture. The sculpture was designed for a residential location and features a very subtle dimming program that makes the neon shimmer quietly.
Goals
The overall color mix when all the tubes are illuminated makes an approximation of white light, that can be quite a pleasant light for an apartment or house situation - White light being the admixture of all color.
Process
I have worked in neon for many years and specialized in the application of dimming to neon. The earliest work I did with dimming was back in 1972 and may well have been the first electronically controlled use of neon.
