Overview
This project includes a guest room, entry foyer, and upstairs hallway. The client wanted this bedroom to be a calm, neutral oasis for his guests. Pairing soft, creamy neutrals with a subtle mauve accents we created the perfect retreat. The foyer and upstairs hallway were great opportunities to showcase the client's fantastic art collection to bring in his personality and add a pop of color.
Goals
For this project, we worked with the client's existing art collection. Instead of finding art to compliment each space, we selected furniture, finishes, and fabric to coordinate with the client's existing art. For the guest room, we selected a soft, calming color scheme to juxtapose the graphic black and white artwork. The foyer and hallway feature a striking quadtych with neon-coloring that draws your eye up to the two-story ceiling.
Process
There was no collaboration process with the artist in the project since the client had an extensive existing collection.
