Overview
This stained glass triptych is approximately 81″ wide x 54″ high and is a hanging piece of art in my client's dining room.
Goals
The goal of this commissioned piece was to hide an ugly view of a driveway, and also to tell a very personal story of cancer survival. The choice of glass was specifically limited to completely opaque glass in order to hide the driveway.
Process
The collaboration process took three years before a final design was achieved. This unusually long process was because of the changing views of my client towards how she wanted to depict her struggle and triumph over cancer. Through the process, I was able to email her design changes, until we arrived at the final design and glass selection.
Additional Information
This piece is based upon the Promethius Bound mythos.
