Client: Richard Greene Linear Park

Overview

Seed Spire, created by Artists RE:site, was inspired by the spiraling movement of tree seeds in the wind. Housed in the RIchard Greene Linear Park in Arlington Texas this piece speaks to the landscape that surrounds it by magnifying the motion of these tiny overlooked bits of the ecosystem. New Aspect Design was engaged to create a night time light show that attracts viewers and passersby from near and far.

Goals

Surprising color combinations that include greens and blues, to pinks and purples, this piece was designed to be viewed from all angles and distances. The lights co-mingle with the feather-like construction to create even more complex shadows that move with the viewer.
