Overview
This Branch Chandelier is 7' in diameter and has 45 LED bulbs. It is made of steel and is designed so that all electrical wires are hidden from view. The bulbs emerge from the tips of selected branches and are evenly distributed.
Goals
This hotel is a premier destination for winter skiing and summer hiking in the Colorado Rockies. Having this large bundle of illuminated branches in the lobby of the hotel brings the nature theme into the hospitality space. The black and silver color of the metal finish was designed to coordinate with other design elements of the lobby.
Process
We built this chandelier in a partnership with Heirloom Hand Forged Designs of Campobello, SC. James Mosely and Ryan Calloway are extremely talented iron artists and were essential to this project. The design firm, J. Banks of Hilton Head gave us valuable suggestions about the shape of the branches in this chandelier. Designers Joni Vanderslice and Lisa Whitley has a vision of how the chandelier should look and guided the process to success.
