Overview
Four works were commissioned for the Board Room; two on each side of the room. A large conference table is in the center with an enormous presentation screen on the wall at the end of the room. Challenge was to relate all four works in to a cohesive entity.
Goals
The CEO of Cottage Health Systems wanted something to "inspire" creative thinking during Board meetings and presentations…..something out of the usual realm of pictorial art. My work is non-objective, creating an open dialog and more expansive thought process for the viewer.
Process
The selection committee selected my work for this space as they wanted original and dramatic imagery. Something not referencing a reality, but something that allowed a creative thinking environment. The artist worked closely with Aesthetics Inc. in developing the "tilted" concepts in the encaustic paintings.
