Overview
The city was very clear in wanting a sculpture that was maintenance free, and patriot in nature to complement the new park. Stainless steel and powder coated stainless steel were selected as the materials of choice. Dimensions 17' x 3' x 14'.
Goals
The city was looking for an iconic work within their budget that would celebrate patriotic spirit.
Process
A handful of thumbnail sketches were presented to the selection committee and this emerged as a favorite.
