Custom designed ceramic painting in a private home.
Goals
The client wanted a new featured work to balance the area above a contemporary fireplace that would blend in with an existing art collection.
Process
Many works in the private collection reference nature and the client hoped that the new piece would merge them with grand vistas from enormous plate glass windows. Sketches were made that referenced the landscape surrounding the home and a final composition was formed from them. Additionally, the client hoped that the new work would "play well" with the jaunty furniture and lighting in the home.
