Overview

Designed by KTGY Simeone Deary Design Group, Monarch Restaurant and Kessaku Restaurant at Thompson Dallas are intended to make guests feel like royalty with provoking use of materiality and color. In Monarch’s conservatory, guests’ eye immediately travels to the three-tiered chandelier, each layer boasting a different hue of lime green, lavender and gold metal flowers. The space denotes a harmonious rivalry of patterns and textures, including etched leather, fringe, silk, and brocade juxtaposed with whimsical wallpaper and plush, tufted jewel-tone seating. Kessaku Japanese lounge, under the direction of two-time Michelin-Starred Chef Danny Grant, features a coral pink velvet upholstered wall paneling, romanticised with coral, curved banquettes meant to emulate the female figure and marigold accent chairs to ensure all guests feel the ultimate level of comfort as they enjoy their Hamachi Ponzu.

Goals

The two distinct, yet connected spaces - Monarch and Kessaku - were imagined by KTGY Simeone Deary Design Group and the designs are inspired by the city’s illustrious and prominent social scene for a VIP guest experience where the sensory details are central to conversation.
