Client: Armed Forces Tribute Garden

Overview

This is one of 6 monumental bronze figurative (7ftH) with a center fountain featuring two grieving soldiers. The 6 figures represent our armed forces, Army Navy Coast Guard Marines Air Force and Merchant Marines.

Goals

This project requires a high degree of polish and conformity with the other figures within the garden. The goal is a long lasing record of our history.

Process

I have completed the sculpting in clay, have taken a set of molds and currently in the process of lost wax bronze casting many pieces. Next I will weld about 2 dozen pieces together and chase the welds to perfection. Last is patina, (chemical colorization) clear coat protection, (public outside art), and installation on granite base,

Additional Information

I am known as The Warbird Sculptor due to my several dozen monumental bronze warbird memorials around the country.None of these are tax money but rather paid for by those who flew and crewed them, and their families. I don't do jets so my warbird work is mostly done with our greatest generation gone. I am still called upon to honor our military history.
