Overview
Three Singleton Ziggurats were commissioned for the new law offices of this prestigious Seattle law firm. Welcoming and warm, the work was designed to balance the space, add color and texture with a modern voice.
Goals
It was my goal to provide work that would be harmonious in the space. Picking up on the neutral colors of the walls and carpet, I introduced some lively textures strong hues. The Ziggurat pieces are meditative and peaceful adding an element of the handmade artifact into the offices.
Process
My collaboration was with the senior partner in the law firm and two others. Perhaps a bit harder than if it was with other design professionals, but during the process, they became quite articulate about what they felt worked. It was a bit of an education..but very rewarding!
Additional Information
The framing designer, Tom Carroll, was brilliant.. mounting the work in beautiful molding, but no glass-- so that reflections from lights and windows were not an issue.
