Overview
The goal was to fill in a 20' x 20' area with interactive installation artwork of perforated steel panels and industrial steel ball chain hanging sculpture. I created a center focal sculpture appx 8'x8'x14'h surrounded by 8' curved panels of 10' hanging industrial ball chain and perforated steel panels that replicated the ceiling of the building.
Goals
Engaging the viewers was paramount and I achieved this goal.
Process
Studying the space, restraints, lighting, and ceiling structure with the management and building engineers - I created individual pieces that attached easily to the ceiling and allowed movement and security.
