Overview

The Holiday Inn Dial, project was commissioned in 2010, and was one of the first Hotels to be completed at the ambitious Aerocity project in Delhi. The severe height restrictions of the site necessiated an ‘H’ plan configuration. However the corner junctions were broken to bring natural light into the corridors, which helps to break the monotony. A four level green wall in the courtyard adjacent to the lift core also brings in natural light into the heart of the property and also doubles up as a break-out for the banquet halls at the lower ground floor level.

Goals

The fabulous art collection of the owners form a major design parameter. The soft interior palette compliments and provides a perfect back drop to the art.

Process

Spaces are created for art and not the other way around. A Senior artists were commissioned to create art and sculptures for the various areas created. This is evidence in the pictures attached.
