Overview
A mixed development project comprising of 2 hotels; a small retail mall and an office tower. The 3-D art program is focused on the All Day Dining within the Days Hotel.
Goals
The commissioned 3-D artwork for the said ADD follows the established design concept approach as well as the “branding requirements” – that is to invoke a visual feast that is whimsical and colorful (an approach that permeates through the entire hotel)
Process
The concept was generated by DPD as part of a “big picture”. This was translated into DPD presentation perspectives. The artwork consultant subsequently developed the design with further presentations to the owners and executed the works.
Additional Information
The 3-D artwork ( the embedded porcelain plates; the birdcages; the gravity defying sculpture and to a lesser extent the tactile artwork) formed an integral part of the successful interior design enforcing the symbiotic relationships between art and interiors.
